Cleaning Honeycomb Shades

Cleaning your window blinds or window shades every 3 months can extend the life of your window covering. If you have honeycomb/cellular shades near your kitchen windows, contact us and keep Lemon Joy dishwashing liquid under the sink to spot clean right away. If that doesn't clean it right away you will need Oxyclean. This generally works but it is not guaranteed depending on what got on the shade. Red wine was splashed on my honeycomb shades which is a cream color and on the largest window in the house. This was in the family family room so if I could not get it cleaned it had to be replaced. I spot cleaned it with Lemon Joy right away. That got most of it out but it still had a slight shadow in those spots. NOTE: I got to it right away so it would not soak through to the back side of the back layer of the shade. I took the shade down and put it on the table in the open position. I put the powder form of Oxyclean on each spot and pored a little water on it to make a paste. I gently rubbed it in and left it over night.
